Olivver the Kid has gone far and beyond his early reputation as simply "the drummer from The Neighbourhood". And if he keeps on coming up with slick synthpop singles as powerful as 'World on Fire', he'll soon find himself mentioned in the same breath as his far more established contemporaries. Olivver - real name Bryan Sammis - is dropping his new EP, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, on 16th October, and 'World on Fire' goes some way to suggesting what to expect from the record: pulverising percussion (naturally), sweetly sung vocals, squelching synth vibrations and quirky chopped-up samples.
